Living Science Vasthu:

 “Vasthu is readable among all shastras through which prosperity flourishes”. – Vaashtu Couplet Thus Vaasthu is the best shastra among all shastras which brings ever lasting prosperity and ever growing wealth to mankind. Vasthu For Successful Living: Success begins at Home. Thus says a proverb. Success depends on how a man is being recognized in his family and the support from his family for this performance. It is partly true. The proverb actually means the Vasthu strength of dwelling house should be supportive and co-operate for a man to be successful. When a man lives in Vashtu strength (where Vasthu in followed) house, his success begins at his home and continues to his career, job etc., It assures good family, peace, fame successful living to him. 

If VAASTHU is against him (became improper Vaasthu house), then his failures, problems starts at his home itself. He was to get through family problems first and then only he can fight against the outside world. His success will be in jeopardy. Astrology, Numerology, Vaasthu, Silpha Shastras, Palmistry, Medical Shastras etc., are existing from VEDIC PERIOD. While all Shastras were well received and nourished by people, religious heads and kings through the ages. Temples, Palaces, Public Hulls were built according to Vaasthu rules and were flourished for long time. Even now temples and palaces are being built with strict Vaasthu rules.Now also politicians, Big rich man, Cine Actors and many others are strictly following Vaasthu guidelines and derive fullest benefits through Vaasthu.But the common people and middle class people are reluctant to follow the Vaasthu Shastra due to ignorance and discrimination. Hence they continue to suffer, get failures and poor developments in spite of their hard work. Many people are unaware of the importance & benefits of the Vaasthu Shastra but they indiscriminate the Shastra. Vaasthu is powerful but simple science which requires ( little) attention before constructions of any building. But the results are abundant and bestows prosperity, transquility and brings happy to the immates continuously. WHAT IS VAASTHU?“Vaasthu’ means ‘Vasthu’ or things, the art of arranging or keeping the house hole things and utility of various as per the divine rules of ‘Vaasthu’, is called a VAASTHU SHASTRA. Here, article means man, man made things and rooms etc., WHAT IS VAASTHU POWER?“VAASTHU” BAGWAN or VAASTHU PURUSH ( Lord of all buildings) who derive power through Pancha Boothas or Fibre (natural) energies of Cosmes.EARTH, WATER, FIRE, AIR and SPACE and the five GIANT ENERGIES of NATURE, which are the tools of Vaasthu Bagwan. All living and non-living things (including man) are the manifestation of these give boothas only.These fiv BOOTHAS controls in eight directions of any particular place. These eight directions were given to eight lords in Hindu Vedas.Hindus call the ‘HOUSE’ as a “LAKSHMI DWELLING HOUSE” and ‘ASTA LAKSHMI’, means getting wealth from Eight directions of our dwelling place. NOTE;

1. VAASTHU BHAGWAN do not differentiate whether the occupant is owner of tenant.
2. Vaasthu Bagawan affects the imamates irrespective whether the house is small or big (as per the Vaasthu rules).
3. Rented house also should be in accordance with Vaasthu Shastra.

SALIENT FEATURES OF VAASTHUEven though Vaasthu has many complex rules and hidden principles it can be listed as follows.

1. The main door or entrance of a HOUSE or BUILDING should be in accordance with Vaasthu. If the main door is not in good place or corner, the LUCK of the house is greatly reduced and cause many problems.
2. The ‘kitchen’ (fire element) of a house should be in South East (Agni Corner). If it is located in wrong place, health of family members and debt problems are bound to happen.
3. The Master Bed room should be as per Vaasthu Shastra in
   South West side. If it is not there then no proper sleep, no satisfied family life and so on will bound to happen.
4. The North East Corner of the house should not be afflicated. North East corner (NE) or part is very important which decides the PORTUNES of any house. Financial developments, career development, children improvements are decided by North Side Corner only.
5. Every corner, room and open spaces should be constructed as per Vaasthu. If there is any deviation, then problems are behind to happen to that extent.
6. “As there is medicine for any desease any Vaasthu defect or short coming can be rectified, by careful analyzing the house and taking relevant remedial measures competent “Vaasthu Specialist”.  CHOOSING A PLOT  - Orientation of plot and Four side angles of the plot in respect to orientation are the main factors in choosing the plot/
   • The length of the plot should be more in North-South direction as compared to East-West direction.
   • If all the corner angles of plot are 90 degrees , it is a good plot.
   • A plot with all corners 90 degrees having two sides road front and back is a good plot.
   • A plot with four corners having 90 degrees angles with three sides of four sides road is a very good plot.
   • If the house is projected in any of the either directions , then one should always consider the following rules. The North/East projection is good and is recommended.
   • The South/East , South/West and North/West projections are not the good sites and are not recommended according to vastu but if one has already has this kind of plot , it can be corrected. If you are seeing the plot which is cut on either direction , then it is not recommended.
   • Now if the plot angles are not at 90 degree ,
   • The plot is one which has a broader entrance and it becomes narrower as we go in. It is NOT at all recommended for the residence.
   • The  plot is one which is narrower at the entrance and becomes broader as we go in. It is very auspicious.

   - Plot facing EAST is good for scholars, philosophers, priests, professors,teachers etc.- Plot facing NORTH is good for those in Power, Administrators and those who work for government.- Plot facing SOUTH is good for business class and for those who work in business organizations.- Plot facing WEST is for those who provide supporting services to the society.Moreover the buyer should also keep in mind his Zodiac sign(Raashi) in mind selecting the plot or the entrance facing different directions. These are as follows: Karka ( Cancer)/Virchak (Scorpio )/Meen (Pisces)- EAST facing plotMithuna (Gemini)/Kanya ( Virgo)/Makara ( Capricorn )- SOUTH facing plotRishab ( Taurus)/
   Tula (Libra)/Kumbh ( Aquarius)- WEST facing plotMesh ( Aries)/Simha (Leo)/Dhanus ( Saggitarius )-NORTH facing plot
   This zodiac sign principle is followed by many vastukaars but it is desirable to fix main door or gate in favorable position instead of following Zodiac sign of owner , as the house will be occupied by his descendents also for generations  Vastu , is like the astrology , is a vast science and its not possible for a normal human being to understand it fully ,but one should always consider some basic rules of Vastu. If you are looking for a plot , keep these things in mind. All the four directions , hills , water bodies , cremation places , highways etc , they all influence the Vastu of the place in one way or other.There are some important factors that you should always consider while looking for a plot. Whenever possible one should always try to follow the Vastu principles as violation of these principles does destroy the happiness of one’s life.You should never purchase the land from the following persons as the atmosphere of the particular space depends on the people living there.

   • From people suffering from sickness , lunatics.
   • From people who have become insolvent.
   • Land donated to any religious place.
   • Land without any deed.
   • From people who have left the country.
   • The place where magicians used to live.
   • Land containing ant-hills , bones , skeletons.
   • Houses sold by distressed , unfortunate people.

   Considering the color , smell , taste and texture of the soil , it is categorized into following :

   • The soil white in color , having lotus smell and sweet taste and that contain greenery is good for the learned people and teachers.
   • The soil red in color , smelling blood and astringent in taste is good for Warrior class.
   • The soil yellow/pale green in color , grainish smell and sour taste is good for the Business class people.The soil black in color , having pungent small and bitter taste is good

   EDUCATION OF CHILDREN  Majority of parents worry about their children education.Create an ambience in relevant to vasthu will enhance the the students attaining good  result students who are very bright but are not able to explore themselves fully .Many a times students complain that they are not able to concentrate , learn or retain what they have read .The remedy to these problems was formulated by our ancestors in the form of the directional science of Vaastu Shastra .For students eager to do well , here are a few techniques , following which the students can achieve success in their studies and obviously bring about a positive changes in grade and will come off with flying colors.

   • The room to be chosen for study should be in the east ,North or the North-East direction of the house.
   • These directions improve the absorption power and increase the knowledge content. Along with that if the door of the room is also in either of these directions , the result turns out to be the best.
   • The study room should have images of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Saraswati.
   • The books in the study chamber should be kept in the South-West , South or West direction and not in the North – East .In addition to that if the north – east direction bears heavy weight it shall pressurize the students’ mind.
   • Furthermore , if the student studies on the table and chair , the table should not stick to the wall .It should be at least 3 feet away from it . Along with that unnecessary books should not be piled up on the table . Only the books which are needed should be kept on the table. Load of books on the table create unnecessary mental pressure on the mind .The study books should be placed in the cupboard in the cabinet rather than in the open .And if the shutter of the cupboard is kept shut , the flow of energy is constantly maintained.
   • If the learner makes use of the Table lamp then the lamp should be kept in the South-East corner of the desk. Plus if it is a square table then nothing like it. Further the size of the study table should not be too big nor too small. It should be just the size which is comfortable for the working of the student. A big sized table diminishes the working capacity , whereas the small table gives rise to depression.

   Moreover , if possible , the walls of the study room should be light orange in color as it is very auspicious and enhances the wishing power as well as supports the speedy progress of mind. This subject has gained a great importance because it is result oriented and experience based science. It is a science of event manifest. It changes your cosmic path leading to success, stability and sense. It deals with natural forces and changes one’s relationship with them. It builds a beautiful bridge between inner spaces and outer spaces. It transforms voids into spaces which are wombs of creation, care and comfort. It defines one’s path effortlessly and subtracts natural hindrance and blockage. It creates a positive relationship between microcosm i. e. individual and macrocosm i. e. outer world. little rectification in personal holistic alignment on the cosmic reference changes the goal, destiny and end. Since it is holistic in nature it effects at three levels of individual viz. physical phenomenal, psychological and spiritual which are the basic dimensions of human existence.As it deals on micro level existence of body, mind and intellect, its bylaws ,rules and regulations need a comprehensive conceptual perception. Any divisive an analytical effort to diagnose it’s dimensions will lead to futility and confusion. The structure of events in human life being quite in an understood state of being, this comprehensive intellectual order of natural existence needs a deep awareness.All inquiry in mystique behavior of nature may not satisfy the quarreling thought and nagging mind, but it’s practical reflection in available range of spectrum gives a hope to inquiry and a new way to ponder !Vastushastra being a super science and multidisciplinary based on basic knowledge of Yoga. Astro, Vastu and Science practician’s responsibility to gauge the event is very difficult and it is ridiculous to make tall and high claims while forecasting. The basic elements of Vastu being five great elements, eight directions, sun and moon streams, deities in Vastu-purush mandal, study of vibrations, waves of sound and light, permutations and combinations of all these things, it is evident to say that it is a very complex subject.  Any change in Dik i. e. direction reflects in change of events in one’s life.Maximise use of the north direction. Face the north when working. You will be blessed by Kuber, the god of wealth. Eating and drinking when facing the north energises you. For good health, point your feet to the north while sleeping. Never block the north. Place a looking glass on the north wall to enhance its effects.Decorate the northeast corner, illuminate it and keep fresh flowers there. The presence of water strengthens the northeast; put in a fountain for prosperity. Don’t place large furniture or storage units. Try to block the west. Avoid openings like doors and windows; they drain away your money . Light pure sandalwood incense to cleanse the atmosphere. Or put some sea salt in the water used for mopping the floor.  Create a strong energy environment around you. Good lighting, decluttering, maintaining cleanliness and using soothing colours in combination with sharp colours are some steps to achieve this. Let energy flow freely in front of you.   Never work on a table pushed up against a wall. This obstructs energy flow towards you. Making a big bookshelf on the table also hampers energy flow.  Hands and fingers carry all the energy of our bodies. All the five elements are available on our fingers. One should not rotate or use one’s fingers without reason. Some people clap tables or their bodies, which is inauspicious. Such actions drain the body of energy. Sitting with crossed arms and legs blocks positive energy from coming into your life. These postures reflect a negative attitude towards life. One should always sit upright and erect. This is a smart posture. It helps in the free flow of energy from the base of the spine to all parts of the body. 
   The ideal location of rooms and entrance for the flat/ house is given below:

POOJA ROOM

Ideal location is North east.The deities facing to be in east,north or west.

If it is facing south- better to keep idol of Shiva or Hanuman

KITCHEN

The preferable place is south east alternatively can be north west.

In the Kitchen,position the sink or wash basin in the north east side of the room.

Cooking person should face east or north.

store your groceries along  the south west wall and keep the fridge in north west.

Doors and Windows

More windows and doors and balconies in the east and north is mostly preferable when compared south and west side.

It is preferable not to use doors and windows in south west.

If you have Blcony in south west better to have lot of plants and not to leave the space vaccant. Better to close the balcony with clollapsible wooden or plastic curtains.

Always ensure that the main entrance door is the biggest in house with the lenghth of the door should be twise that of the width.

Master BedRoom 

It should be in the South west Corner.If the floor level of this bedroom  is 6 inch above than the rest of the house it will be preferable.The other alternative for Master Bedroom is North west.

Slleping position with head towards south  preferable and eastw est is acceptable.

Children’s BedRoom

 Northwest and South east is best .North east is acceptable. Avoid South west.

Guest Room

North west corner is best suited. So that the guest will not stay longer

Dining and drawing Rooms

 It should be more towards north east quadrant of the house and dining table towards the wall of north or east.

Bath Rooms/ toilets

Preferable in the north west quadrant,if both are joined together. If it is separated then bath room can be towards east and toilets towards west preferable,

Avoid North east and south west quadrant.
